Overview
The Leadership Luncheon event recognizes individuals within the community that demonstrate outstanding leadership, impact, and the BSA morals. This event acts as a large donor and sponsorship opportunity to support Scouting activities and members.
Challenge
BSA, SKC understands the challenge
of funding, retainment, and recruitment
of scouts. The cost of materials, trans-portation, and other expenses can make
it challenging for some families to participate. They understand the importance of youth development and
the guidance of strong leadership figures within the community. This event aims to appreciate the forward action and exceptional display of character within
the award recipients while encouraging attendees to engage and support BSA.
The budget for this event was restrictive.
Solution
Designing a theme and Identity for the event was
an important initial step in creating a successful set of informative assets that express intent. As a donor event a major focal point I aimed to push for was a simplified infographic outlining the 2022 Annual Report. This communicates the success of Scouting and the importance of support towards youth development. We also pursues story boards sharing testimonies from Scouts that showcase direct applications of the skills learned through BSA to the community
Brain Storming
Presenting environmental graphics insiration provided the team with room to discuss which event theme activations are achievable in regards to the space, the budget, and the time alotted for prep. This set direction to move forward in the design proccess.
